Welcome visitors to Harley Quinn's website.
My name is Roger Donnay.
I am the creator of this website and the human who has lived with a very special dog for 5 years.
This website is dedicated to Harley Quinn, who has lived at River Quarry Apartments
in Boise, Idaho USA for the 5 years of her Fluffy life.
Harley is a rare breed of corgi who is a "Fluffy Variant" due to a recessive gene.
She was bred in Washington State at Wanderpond by wonderful corgi breeders who raised several
show champion corgis, including Harley's father, who unknowingly, carried the recessive gene.
Harley was one in a litter of 6 corgis, however she is the only one who inherited the gene
and became a Fluffy variant.
Five years of walking her and riding her on my bike on the Boise greenbelt has given
us the opportunity to encounter families with children who are delighted to meet Harley and hear her story.
Therefore, I decided to retire from my computer programming career,
author a children's book about Harley, and dedicate my time to promoting her book.
The title of the book is "It's a Hard Life as a Fluffy Corgi".
The title and theme of the book was inspired by Bob Dylan's song
"It's a Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" which I often listened to back in the 1960's.
I rewrote the lyrics to the song, which I used to tell Harley's story in a song.
I hired professional musicians to record the song, which is available on this site.

Fluffy Fun Facts About Corgis and Harley
1. Not all Corgis are Fluffy!
Harley is a rare "Fluffy" Pembroke Welsh Corgi, born with a recessive gene that give her extra-long, feathery hair.
2. Fluffy Corgis are not allowed in dog shows.
Even though they come from champion bloodlines, their fur disqualifies them from most competitions.
3. Fluffies are actually cleaner than you think.
Harley's coat is made of hair, not fur. That make her hypoallergenic - and means she doesn't shed like most dogs.
4. Corgis were bred to herd cattle.
Their low-to-the-ground bodies helped them avoid kicks while nipping at cows' ankles. Harley prefers herding attention instead.
5. Harley has been on more than 50 kayak trips.
She has floated on the Boise River and on Lake Superior, by the Apostle Islands.
She wears a doggy life vest and loves floating with her human.
6. Corgis have 'fairy saddles' on their backs.
Some legends say fairies used them as steeds. Harley's white neck pattern is her fairy saddle.
7. Harley doesn't have a tail.
Pembroke Corgis are usually born with very short tails, or they are docked.
So Harley wags her whole butt when she's happy.
8. Harley is well socialized.
She loves people, but especially children. She also loves to play with other corgis.
